The new "Chang Ce" annual progress report estimates that from 2022/23 to 2031/32, the 10-year total housing supply target is 430,000 units, which is similar to last year.
The bureau continues to use the 70:30 ratio of public and private housing supply, with a public housing supply target of 301,000 units and a private housing supply target of 129,000 units.
Among the 301,000 public housing supply targets, 210,000 are public housing or green housing units; 91,000 are other subsidized sale units. The figures are also the same as last year.

Approximately 350 hectares of land has been found

The latest "Long Strategy" report reiterated that the government has found about 350 hectares of land for the construction of about 330,000 public housing units. The report explains that if calculated by the number of units, the supply mainly comes from new development areas and large-scale development projects, accounting for 39%; land rezoning accounts for 36%; other projects account for 25%, including brownfield development and redevelopment of the Housing Authority. Of the 330,000 public housing units, about one-third (84 hectares) is expected to be completed in the first five-year period, while the other two-thirds (266 hectares) are expected to be completed in the second five-year period.
According to the authorities, since most of the first five-year projects have completed statutory rezoning and other procedures, the implementation timetable for the relevant projects is relatively reliable.
However, most of the projects completed in the next five years are still at the stage of land reclamation and research. Whether they can be used to build public housing depends on a series of processes, such as rezoning, land resumption, and demolition. The time required varies depending on the individual. Confident in meeting the supply target of private buildings
As for private housing, the report stated that the government will prepare about 170 hectares of land in the next 10 years, and through land sales and railway property tenders, it will provide the market with land for the construction of 100,000 units.
The report also stated that since the supply does not take into account the URA project and other private land development projects, the government is confident that it can find enough land to meet the supply target of 129,000 units in the next 10 years.
