In honor of the glittering event, Kardashian wore a look that represents her modest and up-to-date style, in a personal design by Damna Gavsliya, the chief designer of the Balenciaga fashion house.

The star wore a tight-fitting leotard made of opaque black lace fabric that also included long gloves and pointed boots with which she combined a black mini dress from the same fabric in a sexy corset and cropped cut, as well as alien-style black sunglasses and very large chandelier earrings.

For the award, Kardashian marched on the stage as long as the icon she is, with the one who awarded it to her being Tracy Alice Ross, who won the award last year.

The star praised her ex-husband Kenya West and said "Kenya, who really introduced me to the fashion world, introduced me to the most respected designers, and asked them to dress me and take a risk".

Kardashian added that "it was not always like that, there were days when no one wanted to work with me. It is a dream that today I get to wake up and dress in amazing clothes of inspiring people, pushing me to take risks and try new things. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart."
