Sanaa Marin had to apologize after going out for a night of dancing in the capital Helsinki, just hours after her foreign minister was diagnosed as positive for Corona • "Sorry I did not check the correct instructions," the prime minister wrote on Facebook

The Prime Minister of Finland, Sana Marin, apologized today (Wednesday) after it was revealed that she went out to spend time at a haircut club after being in the company of verified Corona.

The prime minister arrived at a dance club in the capital, Helsinki, on the same day that Foreign Minister Peka Habisto was diagnosed as positive for Corona.

Marin came in contact with the foreign minister that day and had to stay in solitary confinement in accordance with the corona regulations in the country.

The prime minister conducted a quick corona check, which came back negative, and assumed she could continue with her agenda.

She claimed she did not read a text message instructing her to stay in solitary confinement for another day and left the house.

The opposition criticized Marin's discretion and claimed that she had knowingly acted against the law.

In a long post on the social network Facebook, the prime minister explained that the phone she was using for her job was not with her and that she went out with her husband to meet friends and then to a dance club.

"I should have used better judgment on Saturday night and followed the instructions I received in the past. I'm very sorry I did not realize I had to do this," Marin wrote on her Facebook page.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was also forced to apologize in the House of Representatives on Wednesday after the British media released documentation of his aides trying to whitewash the existence of an incident allegedly against the harsh closure imposed on Britain in December 2020.

In the video, first published by ITV News, senior officials in his office joke that they will be forced to deceive the media about a Christmas party they held at the time while at work, while tens of millions of Britons were forced to shut themselves in their homes and banned from hosting large family dinners.
