Three days after this meeting in Villepinte, the government spokesman on Wednesday called the contenders for the Elysee to “responsibility” for wearing a mask.

"I note that in certain political meetings which were held this weekend, one did not see much wearing of the mask, if at all", declared to the press Gabriel Attal at the exit of the Council of Ministers.

"There, there is really a responsibility of the political formations and the candidates", he continued.

"We want political meetings to be able to continue, they are important in particular because there are important electoral deadlines in 2022", he insisted.

He added: "This requires a responsibility on the part of the organizers, so that these meetings do not become hotbeds of contamination, potential clusters", he added.

Traveling Wednesday to Rouen, the candidate of the National Rally Marine Le Pen declared that there was "no question" of asking for the health pass in her next meeting, because she "does not believe in its effectiveness".

On Sunday, Eric Zemmour had gathered in Villepinte several thousand supporters, most of them unmasked, on the occasion of his first meeting since the announcement of his candidacy for the presidential election.
