The Cultural Center in Abu Rummaneh held a literary festival in which singers participated, during which they presented patriotic, social and humanitarian songs calling for love and social solidarity, in addition to the participation of poets with texts and poems.

The festival, in which Mustafa Al-Basha participated in playing the oud, and on parchment, the storyteller Bashar Boutros, bore the title “When poets sing.” The researcher started with Bakour Al-Aroub, introducing the participating poets and artists and the style in which each of them writes. Poetic texts dominated by human emotion and music.

The artist Zaher Rifai, accompanied by the oud, presented traditional and tarab songs, and the young artist, Tasneem Barghella, participated in songs by Fayrouz such as “Give me the flute” without playing, to be unique in this style.

The artist, Huda Al-Jallab, sang a number of poems to Damascus, some folk songs and Mawwal Al-Ataba, and the poet Akram Saleh Al-Hussein participated in singing some poetic texts accompanied by the oud instrument.

As for the poet Ali Shaheen Hassan, he recited a number of sentimental poems and sang many texts of his composition that were confined to the love of the homeland and human passion.

In turn, the poet and vocalist Salim Maghribi sang a song by the poet Nazmi Abdel Aziz, “Shou Bisab Aliy,” and then sang a number of texts written by him, in addition to a song written by the poet Ayham Al-Houry.

At the end of the festival, the participants performed a song in honor of the great poet Nazmi Abdel Aziz and in appreciation of his artistic career and his continuous giving for three decades.
