The Yemeni armed forces announced today the downing of a Saudi regime spy plane over the Marib Governorate.
Al Masirah Net website quoted the Armed Forces spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, as saying in a statement today, "Our air defenses managed to shoot down an American-made "Scan Eagle" spy plane while it was carrying out hostile acts in the airspace of the Juba area in Ma'rib governorate.
Saree added that the process of shooting down the plane was carried out with a suitable weapon, pointing out that it is the seventh plane of the same type that the Yemeni air defenses were able to shoot down this year.
Saree affirmed that the Yemeni armed forces will spare no effort in carrying out their duty to protect the country's atmosphere by all available and possible means.
On the 4th of this month, the air defenses shot down a spy plane belonging to the Saudi aggression in the airspace of Ma'rib Governorate.
