Tehran-Sana
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian affirmed his country's seriousness and good intentions to reach a good agreement in the Vienna negotiations to revive the nuclear agreement, noting that Western countries are evading those negotiations and have not yet presented any constructive and positive proposal.
During a telephone conversation with the European Union's foreign policy official yesterday evening, Abdullahian criticized the positions and statements of the three European countries and their behavior by taking negative political and media positions. These positions further complicate the situation and slow down the consensus process, describing the positions of Russia and China as realistic and constructive.
Abdullahian said that Tehran has always cooperated closely with the International Atomic Energy Agency, and in this context, a delegation from the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran will visit Vienna to hold talks with IAEA officials.
Abdullahian explained that the Iranian nuclear program is completely peaceful in nature, but raising nuclear concerns is directly related to the complete lifting of the embargo measures related to the nuclear agreement, doubting the willingness of the Western side to lift the embargo.
During the past few days, the seventh round of negotiations took place between Iran and the Four Plus One Group to revive the nuclear agreement signed with Iran in 2015, and a new round is scheduled for this week.
