Reserve Brigadier General Gal Hirsch confirmed today (Thursday) that he has cancer.
On Tuesday, it was revealed in a right-wing demonstration in Habima Square that Hirsch, who was the commander of the Galilee Division and a former candidate for the position of commissioner, is seriously ill.
"Indeed, lately I'm battling cancer," Hirsch wrote on his Facebook account.
"I am well cared for and in good hands. After all the burden is heavy, we are soul, flesh and blood, people are fragile, even if strong. Thank you so much to everyone, for the love, warmth and concern. I will pray for complete healing and overcome on this front as well."
Since the announcement of his illness, many public figures have called for praying for his healing.
MK Nir Barkat (Likud) wrote on his Twitter account: "Brigadier General Gal Hirsch, a large commander and a dear friend of mine, has a serious illness.
Pray with me for his complete and speedy healing together with all the patients of his people Israel. "
