Several pan-democrats were accused of going to Victoria Park to attend the June 4th party last year without approval. Li Zhiying, Zou Xingtong and He Guilan respectively denied inciting and participating in unapproved assembly and were tried. Judge Hu Yawen today (9th) ) All 3 persons were found guilty.
The three defendants: Li Zhiying, Zou Xingtong and He Guilan were all accused of being involved in the unauthorized assembly at Victoria Park on June 4 last year.
Li and Zou were charged with incitement; Zou and He were charged with participating in an unauthorized assembly.
According to the control plan, the Apple Daily published an interview with Li Zhiying on June 2, 2020. During the interview, Li Zai appealed to the public to continue to publicize the June 4th incident and speak out to the world, and he also participated in the Victoria Park pool on June 4 Lighted candles with several defendants who pleaded guilty; Zou Xingtong was alleged to have lit and raised candles with Li Zhuoren and others in the Victoria Park pool that night, and pushed aside the fence to enter the stadium; He Guilan also held candles and sat on the stadium that night.
The Department of Justice indicted 26 people in the June 4th rally last year. Only 3 people including Li Zhiying denied the charges and were convicted after trial. The remaining 23 people, two of whom were overseas, have been arrested by the court. The other 21 people have pleaded guilty to the charges, including 16 people including Huang Zhifeng and Cen Aohui who have been sentenced, and another 5 people including Li Zhuoren, Liang Yaozhong, Hu Zhiwei and others will be sentenced next Monday.
