Daraa City Council started the rehabilitation works of 4 public parks in Al Mahatta and Daraa Al Balad neighborhoods with the support of First Aid International.
The head of Daraa City Council, Engineer Amin Al-Omari, told SANA reporter today that the parks are Al-Basel, the airport, behind the officers’ club in Daraa Al-Mahatta neighborhood, and Al-Omari Park in the Daraa Al-Balad neighborhood, noting that the works included the removal of rubble and dry herbs, cleaning, pruning and pruning of forest trees and palm trees, and planting appropriate ornamental trees.
Al-Omari explained that the works also include the rehabilitation of sidewalks, corridors and main entrances to create safe spaces for children, with the installation of appropriate games and seating, in addition to lighting with alternative energy according to a specific schedule, stressing that the city council seeks to restore the aesthetic view of public parks and find an outlet for neighborhood residents.
In an earlier stage, the city council, in cooperation with the concerned authorities and international organizations, rehabilitated parks in the neighborhoods of Al-Kashef, Al-Matar, Al-Sabil and Al-Banorama.
