14 new verified vertebrae have been identified today (Friday), the Ministry of Health said.

To date, 35 verified people have been identified in Israel, most of them vaccinated and returned from abroad.



24 verified people came from South Africa, England, France, the United States, the United Arab Emirates and Belarus. Who returned from abroad.

Of the 35 verified, 25 are fully vaccinated.

The Ministry of Health added that there is a high suspicion of another 52 cases of exposure to the variant, the results of which have not yet been reached.

About half of the cases did not include symptoms.

Today, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett was presented with a report by researchers at the Hebrew University, which shows that the fifth wave has begun in Israel and the current immigration is significant.

The researchers wrote that for the first time since the booster vaccine campaign, the infection is spreading rapidly in all sectors and age groups, including the vaccinated.



In order to delay the spread of the Omicron variant, the researchers recommend extending the restrictions on entry into Israel.

In addition, it is recommended to increase the enforcement of the green mark and the wearing of masks, and to examine a change in policy in schools.

The researchers also recommend speeding up the population's immunization with the booster vaccine, and investigating and publishing the local outbreaks through the Oak headquarters.



This morning the Ministry of Health updated that the coefficient of infection has risen to 1.1.

589 people were confirmed positive for the corona virus in the last day, out of 91,736 tests performed.

4,116,855 people were vaccinated with the booster dose.

Most severe patients are not vaccinated or have not been vaccinated with the booster dose.

93 patients were severely hospitalized, and 55 were resuscitated.

8,210 corona patients died in Israel from the outbreak of the plague.
