"Israel is the only country in the world that Iran seeks to destroy, and it is currently building the means to do so," Defense Minister Bnei Gantz said today (Saturday) at the IAC conference.
"Israel's most powerful and important ally has been the United States since the establishment of the state in 1948," Ganz said at the Israel-American Community Organization conference.
We are grateful for that. "
"It is no coincidence that I came here after meetings in Washington with the Secretary of Defense and Secretary of State, where we discussed our security relations, and the sharing of military information between the states," the minister added.
"The security commitment of the United States and Israel is very important today.
"The entire Israeli leadership and I will never take this support for granted, and we will never stop working with our partners in the United States, and appreciating the bipartisan support for Israel. In my meetings in Washington, we discussed Iran, which is primarily an international and regional challenge."
Ganz explained that "Iran not only poses a physical threat to Israel but also a concrete threat to our way of life and the common values of Israel and the United States.
My role as Secretary of Defense is to ensure that this never happens, so I say to the international community led by the United States - we must stand together and act vigorously against Iran's aspirations to become a bishop with nuclear weapons. Only then can we bring stability to the Middle East.
"Israel must maintain its security superiority in the region. Only a strong, secure and moral Israel can reach out for peace and expand normalization with new and old partners - from Egypt and Jordan, through Morocco, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and also with our Palestinian neighbors."
