A person was shot dead today, after an exchange of fire with police near the royal residence at Kensington Palace in the British capital, London.
The Associated Press quoted the British Metropolitan Police as saying that the policemen came to the Kensington area, west of London, based on reports that a man carrying a firearm entered a bank and betting office in the area, pointing out that its officers stopped the gunman, who tried to escape with a car, as an exchange of fire took place near an area that includes Several embassies and the palace, which is the official residence of Prince William and his family in London, in addition to many members of the royal family, which resulted in the killing of the gunman.
The police indicated that the incident did not fall under the list of terrorist acts.
