Concretely, the Minister of Labor Élisabeth Borne asks Pôle Emploi to increase by 25% the number of checks carried out during the year 2022, "
that is to say to carry out 250,000 checks, especially in the next six months.
», Specifies Jean Bassères. All this with a constant number of controllers. To do this, Pôle Emploi will, during its checks, examine a more restricted job search period. While this period was previously twelve months, and allowed the job seeker to prove that he had taken active steps during the past year, this period will now be restricted to the three months preceding the control.
If the verification carried out by Pôle emploi does not show that the job seeker is in “
active
” search, he will be liable to sanctions from the first failure.
These go as far as the deregistration of the job seeker and the abolition of his allowance.

Partly random controls
Checks should also focus on people looking for work in a “
tight
” sector, and therefore more likely to recruit easily. “
But there may also be job seekers whose situation is reported by an agency. For example, if an agent has prepared a job seeker to apply for an offer and he does not go to the interview, without justification, the advisor can make a report to carry out a check
”, further indicates Jean Bassères. . He specifies that part of the checks will finally be carried out randomly.

Full employment is a desirable and achievable objective
," says Jean Bassères, for whom this context is an "
opportunity
" for the long-term unemployed, who generally have more difficulty in finding a job.
According to a barometer published in November by bpifrance and the Rexecode Institute, 4 out of 5 small and medium-sized enterprises (TPE-PME) have faced recruitment difficulties over the previous twelve months.
These tensions primarily concern jobs which require a low level of initial training.

Along with strengthening the control of job seekers, the government also intends to use the carrot and calls on companies to strengthen the attractiveness of the positions they offer, particularly in terms of salary.
The boss of Medef, Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux, affirms that the message is received by companies and that "
many companies will increase wages
" in 2022.
