Sony's exclusive key family continues to grow and grow, and Herman Holst, head of the PlayStation Studios division, releases a statement on Twitter stating that the company has acquired Valkyrie Entertainment based in Seattle, and is joining Sony exclusively as the exclusive developer.
Valkyrie was founded in 2002, and over the years has provided support for the development of a number of PlayStation games, the most notable of which include the God of War from 2018 and its sequel Ragnarok which will be released during 2022 along with Santa Monica, in addition to titles like Twisted Metal and Infamous 2 previous editions.
The developer of Valkyrie Entertainment has a lot of experience in the industry and not just with Sony - she has previously worked a title like League of Legends with Riot Games, and with Microsoft on titles like Forza Motorsport and even provided support for Halo Infinite very recently, including games like Middle- earth: Shadow of War and Batman: Arkham Origins for WB Games.

This is not the first developer Sony has acquired this year, and the company seems to have gone into a frenzy of acquisitions: in the last four months it has acquired Firesprite which developed The Playroom and titles for virtual reality glasses, and Housemarque which developed the Returnal game for the PlayStation 5 console, including Dutch developer Nixxes.
Over the past year Sony has also acquired Insomniac, which developed the Spider-Man game and the mythical Ratchet & Clanck series, and Guerilla Games, which developed Horizon Zero Dawn and will also release the sequel Forbidden West this February.
Sony's way of working seems to be to purchase keys with which it has worked and collaborated and delivered the goods properly, and all that is left is to hope that this will not be the end, and the company will continue to attract more and more talent and thus increase the number of keys.
