white plan
” in the face of the “
saturation
” of their emergency and intensive care services, announced the CHR of Metz-Thionville.
This trigger aims to "
face the resurgence of the epidemic
" and "
to support saturated services
" in a "
particularly sensitive context
" in the hospitals and clinics of Metz, Thionville, Sarreguemines, Saint-Avold and Forbach, said the hospital group in a press release.

The current situation is the consequence of the active and early circulation of winter viruses and the continuous increase in hospitalized Covid patients
,” added the hospital group.
Thus at the Metz-Thionville CHR, 64 patients are hospitalized for Covid-19, including 28 in critical care, said the management of the establishment joined by AFP.
Call for vaccination
Under increasing pressure from the fifth wave of Covid-19, the regional health agencies (ARS) of Ile-de-France, Occitanie, Pays de la Loire, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Corsica, Provence-Alpes-Côte- d'Azur, Hauts-de-France, Normandy and part of Brittany, have announced the launch of the "
white plan
" in all their hospitals and clinics since the beginning of the month. The Strasbourg University Hospital and the Colmar and Mulhouse hospitals, in the Grand Est region, also launched their white plan in early December.
The “
white plan
” makes it possible to deprogram operations and reassign personnel to critical care services.
The Metz-Thionville hospital has also called on the population to be vaccinated "
massively
" in order to help caregivers "
already strongly impacted by the previous waves
" of the pandemic.
