Jazz lovers enjoyed a warm evening with trumpet, keyboard, drums and instruments that formed a harmonious and harmonious harmonica. The youth of the Syrian jazz band “Falak” performed on the stage of the Al-Hamra Theater in the presence of a distinguished and remarkable presence.
The evening, which was held by the Directorate of Theaters and Music, varied between international jazz pieces and others integrated with the Arab heritage, distinguished by their performances, trumpet players Dalameh Shehab and keyboard Tariq Skiker, who arranged the arrangement and together formed a distinguished duet during the playing of these pieces.
The program included the playing of a piece entitled Badiya written by Basem Al Jaber, in addition to a piece at the end of the darkness and in the cold of the evening, and a song in remembrance of the autumn by Mrs. Fairouz, with the voice of the singer Abeer Batal, who performed a prayer from the ancient heritage. She also attended the Dabkeh party at the ceremony by Shehab on the trumpet.
In a statement to SANA reporter, the musician Shehab said that work on this project began more than a year ago as part of the band's efforts to integrate Arabic music with jazz, which is an international school in itself.
Shehab pointed out that the band is moving away from the stereotypical performance of its pieces to present jazz music, which has become a world heritage and needs to mix with the West more.
The Syrian jazz group Falak consists of 5 jazz musicians: Dalameh Shehab (trumpet and saxophone), Tarek Scheker (piano and keyboard), Bassem Al-Jaber (counterbass), Hannibal Saad (guitar), and Faris Al-Dahan (drums) with singer Abeer Al-Batal.
