Homs Exhibition Company inaugurated in the Al-Waer neighborhood of the city an exhibition and bazaar for the joy of Christmas, which is held by the Chamber of Commerce and the Homs City Council, with the participation of dozens of civil and commercial events, and will continue until the 16th of this month, within the atmosphere of Christmas joy.

The exhibition included handicrafts, antiques, Samadiyat, Christmas decorations, and rural women's products, which embodied the richness of the Syrian environment despite the difficult economic conditions and the will of the Syrians to face all challenges.

SANA’s reporter monitored the atmosphere of the opening of the exhibition and the bazaar and met with some of the participants, where Suzan Al-Nakdali displayed her products of colored beads of all sizes and shapes, indicating that she continues to produce more pieces of art that fill her time and increase her experience and fun. A real work of producing pieces of art using burlap and wood, such as making traditional chairs, such as samsat, flower frames, and towels, as it found in cyberspace and its participation in exhibitions for the third time as a way to market its products.

In the corner of the creative hand, Hana Jahjah explains that she and her sisters are displaying their heritage products today, including pieces of Milan, Agabani, Sarma and Atom, all of which are handcrafts that require accuracy and patience, emphasizing the ability of Syrian women to preserve the authentic heritage and to be active in society under all circumstances.

The head of the Chamber of Commerce in Homs, Iyad Draq al-Sibai, considered that the exhibition is held on the occasion of birthdays and an affirmation of the Chamber’s social and economic role, with the participation of about 30 concerns, private kitchens and community initiatives. The hall was provided to them for free and helped them to market their products.

For his part, Eng. Abdullah Al-Bawab, Head of Homs City Council, indicated to the cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce to set up the exhibition at acceptable prices in order to market the participants' products and create job opportunities.

The opening ceremony included carols, folkloric songs, poems and songs inspired by Christmas.

The opening of the exhibition and bazaar activities was attended by the Governor of Homs, Engineer Bassam Parsik, and a host of official, civil and economic activities.
