Do you know why? Because there are Palestinians (one ethnic-cultural-national-religious affiliation) who stood up and decided to harm the Jews (another ethnic-cultural-national affiliation). That is - there is a war here, and like any war, it rests on differences: differences of religion, nationality, tribe, color. that's how it is. If they did not threaten us - there would be no barriers. If Arabs had not tried to murder Jews - there would have been no security problem. very simple. And no, it's not even a bit like what it was in Nazi Germany (and unfortunately there are those who compare), because there the Jews did not try to murder German children, and never declared Germany as the Jewish state.
We will return to the checkpoint: Settlers stand at the checkpoints for hours a day, because we need to check the Palestinian cars.
See that there are no weapons, wanted or infiltrators.
The settlers are suffering because of this.
And now the big deal: the checkpoint is designed to prevent terrorists from entering Little Israel.
That is, not only will the settlers be in a traffic jam, but the killers will remain on their side.
Because those who really need to be protected are the residents of Israel before 1967.
And the settlers?
