Hundreds of teenagers arrived this evening (Tuesday) at Habima Square in Tel Aviv to demonstrate in support of the complainants in the case of the 15-year-old boy suspected of raping and sexually abusing students at his school.

The boys and girls, most of them from the Scout youth movement, chanted slogans: "No, it's not," "I, too, am one of three," and "Shame, shame, shame."

"We came here because we need to put an end to this, we need to be here for the girls who were raped," said Ariel and Halani, eighth-grade students and apprentices in the Scouts, who came to demonstrate.

"We followed the protest on Instagram, and talked about the demonstration at school."

They added that they were shocked by the case in which the boy was involved.

"It's a 10th grade kid, but no matter the age - it's never supposed to happen."

"These are people we know, it's really scary when something like this is close to you and not just rumors that spread," said Rotem and Daniela, ninth graders.

Shirley, who is studying in the layer of the suspect boy, came to support the complainants. "It was shocking to hear about the case, feeling the tension of all the students in the corridors." She added that in her opinion the school handles the issue properly. "They brought us psychologists to talk to us, and address this issue properly."

Boys also came to the demonstration and expressed their support for the students. "We were told at school and by the Scouts to come here because it is very important and it is really very important," said Omri, Tal, Noam and Leary, ninth grade boys and Scouts. "It's something that needs to raise its awareness, it's wrong that it's happening - there are girls and boys who are scared now."

Boys who study with the boy suspected of high school, and know him personally, say that he is a "calm and nice guy," who they say "It did not look like that. "" It was terrible to hear about what he did, he probably has a problem, "they said.

Last night, the boy suspected of rape in the prestigious high school was confronted with two high school students who complained against him.

During the confrontation, the suspect claimed that the acts were done with consent, while the girls claimed that there was no consent on their part, and one of them even slapped him: "You raped me."

The case is being investigated and the student's detention has been extended until Wednesday.
