Life returns to the Garmisch Classic ski area.
After the corona lockdown, the lifts and cable cars will start on Thursday, December 16.
The 2G rule applies.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen
- let's go: after around one and a half years, the first ski lifts in the Garmisch-Partenkirchner Classic area will open again tomorrow, Thursday.
The Bayerische Zugspitzbahn AG gave the green light for the start on Hausberg and Kreuzeck on Tuesday.
Only the Alpspitzbahn is still closed.
"The ski operation takes place under strict 2G controls as well as a comprehensive FFP2 mask requirement in all closed rooms, in cable cars as well as queuing and waiting areas", emphasizes press spokeswoman Verena Altenhofen.
In addition, there is a limited utilization.
After all: In contrast to the Zugspitze cable car, the cable cars on Hausberg and Kreuzeck can each be used up to 75 percent.
There are no restrictions on the lifts.

The 2G-plus rule for ski areas was still in place at the beginning of December.
Politics recently overturned this.
With an additional test obligation for vaccinated and convalescent people, the ski area in Garmisch-Partenkirchen might not have started operations.
Holders of annual or seasonal passes can have their cards activated on Wednesday, December 15 - on the Hausberg from 12 noon to 7 p.m. as well as at the BZB train station in Garmisch-Partenkirchen or at the cable car at the Eibsee.
