To encourage immunization: Those vaccinated with only one dose will be allowed to receive a "temporary green mark"

To encourage vaccination: Ministry of Health changes vaccine settings to receive "temporary green mark"

Bennett and Horowitz decided to immediately issue a temporary green label to vaccinators in just one dose.

This is despite the fact that in the last year the Minister of Health clarified that the green mark indicates a person's immunity, which is obtained after only 3-2 doses.

As part of the new corona regulations decided on today (Tuesday) by Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz, regarding a green label in malls and a change in the isolation policy for returnees from red countries, it was also decided to apply a temporary green label. The temporary label will be valid for 30 days, after which, at the same time as receiving the second dose of vaccine, the vaccinated will receive a permanent green label. The character rights will apply in everything related to entering places, and that in everything related to insulation - these vaccinators will not be considered as green character holders.

The decision, which comes with the aim of encouraging immunization in those who have not yet done so, contradicts statements and actions of the Ministry of Health so far regarding vaccines and the green label. Although the level of protection of vaccinators in the first dose is significantly lower than the protection received one week after receiving the second dose - the original eligibility date for the green label - first vaccineers can enter all places where a green label applies even though they are not fully protected from corona.

Today, even people who have not been vaccinated at all are entitled to enter places operating under the green mark by presenting only a negative corona test.

However, those vaccinated with only one dose will be eligible for a green label and will not have to present a test, even though they are not fully protected from the virus.

With the launch of the Booster Vaccine campaign in the summer and the decision to deny a green mark to vaccinated people who have passed five months since receiving the second dose, Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz explained that "the green mark comes to indicate that a person is safe A green label for those who do not receive another vaccine. "

To date, eligibility for the green label has been obtained only one week after receiving the second dose of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. This is due to a relatively low level of protection from the virus obtained after the first dose only. In the past, cases of infection and even deaths of vaccinated people who received only the first dose were reported. It was later decided to cancel eligibility for the green label for the vaccinated in two doses that had passed five months since they received the second dose. Eligibility for the green label was given to those vaccinated with the booster dose, recoverers who were vaccinated with one dose, as well as new vaccines with two doses, which has passed a week since they received the second dose, as was customary from the beginning of the vaccination campaign.

In the past, high school and middle school students who received the first vaccine dose were considered vaccinated.

This, before the start of the school year, when Prime Minister Bennett decided that classes in which the number of students who received the first immunization shot would be less than 70% - would study online.

However, this injection did not award a green card certificate to the rest of the activities, but rather allowed students to reach the educational institutions.

Also, as of September 30, the extent of immunization for this outline was measured relative to two immunization injections.
