The branch of the General Organization for Seed Propagation in Daraa announced the continuation of subscription to local potato seeds at a price of 1,350 million Syrian pounds per ton.
In a statement to SANA’s reporter today, the director of the Corporation’s branch, Engineer Ghazi Al-Nasif, stated that the subscription continues for an indefinite period, which contributes to securing a need.
Farmers of reliable varieties, indicating that the quantity subscribed to so far has reached 51.5 tons.
In another context, Al-Nasif explained that the branch of the Corporation continues to sell wheat and barley seeds to farmers to cover their needs in the upcoming agricultural season 2021-2022, indicating that the sale of sifted and sterilized wheat seed has reached 5,000 tons to date, and barley seed is 26 tons, and that the multiplication of seeds has been supplemented in the governorates.
