Lines B, C, D, E and R will be the most affected by the social movement launched by the CGT Cheminots on the network in Île-de-France. SN

Parisians will have to be patient in public transport from this Thursday.

A strike notice was filed on the SNCF Transilien network by the CGT railway workers union for Thursday and Friday.

"We are protesting against the overpressure of stations in stations: counter clerks, information points ...", explains a railway worker from the CGT of Paris Gare du Nord.

This strike affects many lines of the Île-de-France network: the RER B - already affected by a strike last week -, RER C and RER E.

Major disruptions are also to be expected on many axes from Paris.

"For Thursday, December 16, we recommend that travelers as far as possible limit their trips with an average of 2 out of 3 trains in circulation."

In detail, here are the traffic forecasts communicated by SNCF on Wednesday at 5 p.m.

The strike could last until Friday.

Note that this movement does not affect the RATP networks, except the RER B, co-operated with the SNCF.

Favor teleworking

Arnaud Bertrand, president of the Plus de Trains association, calls on travelers who can telework to “stay at home.

We will have to leave room for employees who can not help but go to their place of work.

This strike comes when Île-de-France mobilités is still operating with a reduced supply due to the health crisis.

"That's why we have to get organized as soon as possible", underlines the president of Plus de Trains.

"I will take a lot of lead"

Near the Saint-Lazare station in Paris, this Wednesday, many travelers learned the news.

Léa, an economics teacher in a high school, was not aware.

“I heard that there was a strike on the TGV this weekend, but I did not know that a movement was taking place on Thursday in Île-de-France.

I have to go to Saint-Cloud (Hauts-de-Seine)… Fortunately I have alternatives, such as the tram or the bus.

Too bad, I'll manage ”.

David, a resident of Houilles (Yvelines), must take a BTS commerce exam in the 17th arrondissement on Thursday at 8 a.m.

" Oh no !

I didn't know there was a strike.

Leaving from Houilles, I have the choice between the RER A, line L or J. I am already starting to stress… I will take a lot of lead to be sure to be on time ”.

As for Marie-Thérèse, a retiree from Versailles, she made the right choice in her agenda.

“I have a medical appointment in Paris today Wednesday, instead of tomorrow!

So much the better because it's always difficult to reschedule an appointment.

On the other hand, I have a friend of mine who was to go to Paris tomorrow… She will have to cancel.

"

Conflicts between Transdev and drivers also affect the bus lines this time in the Oise.

On the national side, a strike is planned on the main TGV lines of the south-east and south-west network for the first weekend of the school holidays at the call of the CGT, SUD-Rail and Unsa unions.

The traffic will be "very degraded".
