The fifth wave hits Italy where the health pass favors the vaccinated public for museums or restaurants. A negative test is required on arrival for all travelers and, from December 16, those who are not vaccinated will undergo a quarantine.

Italy wants to

"save Christmas"

and its festivities, urged the President of the Council, Mario Draghi, on November 24.

Despite a very high vaccination rate of its population, La Botte is also facing a dazzling fifth wave of Covid-19.

The government is betting on the return of certain barrier measures and a "super sanitary pass" favoring people vaccinated since December 6 to partly preserve its end-of-year celebrations and continue to welcome tourists.

The country is tightening its restrictions but it remains widely open to the French, who must have a negative test (48-hour PCR or 24-hour antigen) on arrival in the country, whether or not they are vaccinated. Unvaccinated people must respect a five-day quarantine at the address indicated on the traceability form; this isolation can be interrupted at the end of this period and after a new negative test. These measures apply from Thursday December 16 until at least January 31, 2022. In mid-December, three regions are classified in yellow ("moderate risk"): Calabria, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and the autonomous province of Bolzano. The rest of the country remains in a white zone (“reduced risk”).
