A tour of a delegation of ambassadors to the UN took place today (Thursday) on the northern border together with Gilad Ardan, Israel's ambassador to the UN.
During the day, the ambassadors visited the sector and received a security briefing from the head of the Strategy Division, Major General Tal Kalman and the division commander, Brigadier General Shlomi Binder, and patrolled a Hezbollah terrorist tunnel in the Zarit area.
Ambassador Ardan said: "This time I am leading a delegation of 12 embassies and ambassadors representing their countries to the UN, to show them the murderous and extremist plan of the Hezbollah terrorist organization, which aims to infiltrate Israeli territory and kill or abduct as many civilians as possible."

"Hezbollah planned this plan for many years, but the IDF unveiled it," Arden noted.
"The plan proves what could happen in the next confrontation between Lebanon and Israel - Hezbollah uses the civilian population of Lebanon as a human shield for both missiles and rockets and for digging terrorist tunnels."
"We expect the UN and the international community to hold the Lebanese government responsible for what will happen in the next conflict in the north and for the destruction that will be caused to Lebanon, the economic destruction today that Lebanon is collapsing, and what may happen here in the future. "Destroy all the infrastructure used by Hezbollah in Lebanon if fire is opened at Israeli citizens," said the Israeli ambassador to the UN.

The ambassador added that "Another thing that is important to emphasize here is Iran's responsibility. At the moment, talks are really taking place in Vienna. When the ambassadors ask me why Israel opposes the return to the old nuclear agreement with Iran - so here, one can see one of the main reasons. "It does not block Iran's path from becoming a nuclear threshold state, nor does it address the enormous threats that Iran poses here in the region, with its support for terrorist organizations, such as Hezbollah that is here on the fence."
"Our expectation from the UN and the international community is that they will put heavy pressure on Iran to reach a diplomatic agreement that addresses both of these threats and Iran's missile program," Arden concluded.
