District - There is more good news for athletes in Bavaria.
During the week the state government decided to extend the 15th Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance up to and including January 12th for the time being.
At the same time, however, slight easing for popular sport was initiated. From now on, the 2G-plus regulation no longer applies in “open-air sports facilities for one's own sporting activities”, but only 2G. Outdoor club sport is still only permitted for vaccinated and convalescent people, but they no longer need a daily negative corona test. For spectators of sporting events, however, 2G-plus still applies, as well as for athletes (and spectators) in the indoor area, including fitness studios. Vaccinated people who have received a booster dose are exempted from additional test obligations in many areas according to the new government decisions. The prerequisite is that the booster vaccination is at least 15 days ago.Another change concerns the exception to 2G for underage students, who are exempt from the 2G rule because they are regularly tested in school. This special regulation, which has been in effect until the end of the year, will also be extended to January 12th.
