A 38-year-old got on a public bus on Tuesday evening (December 14) with his bike at the Rheinbach station in Euskirchen.

However, the passenger did not really adhere to the mask requirement on the bus.

Again and again he took off the mask.

The bus driver repeatedly warned him about this.

At the Kuchenheim Markt stop it was over: the bus driver asked the man to get out.

The mask refuser got up - but he pushed the 53-year-old driver aside and insulted him while he was getting off the bus.

Then he threw his bike at the witness and the driver.

Both were slightly injured.

The 38-year-old is now expecting more than just criminal proceedings for dangerous bodily harm and insult.

Police also checked the frame number of the bike that turned out to be stolen.

They also found drugs on the suspect.

The resident spent the night in police custody.
