Liao Chengli said that yesterday (15th) he was invited by Tan Xiangwen to the platform. He agreed with the other party's platform to insist on "not retreating" and opposing Hong Kong's continued retrogression; "gathering" allowed the group of people still in Hong Kong to "warm up the stove."
Liao Chengli said that he was not worried that Wei Tan would be attacked because he himself opposed "laying flat" and believed that if he only made "Tangbian Crane" in the future, he would not be able to "regress".
He mentioned that Tan Xiangwen had previously written to Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor requesting amnesty for those who were prosecuted or convicted of the anti-revision movement, thinking that this move would help mend social tears.
Finally, it doesn’t matter whether Tan Xiangwen is elected or not. “It’s up to people to get things done, but it’s up to heaven.” Liao urged pan-democracy supporters to vote even if they were "tearful", hoping to keep their voice in the parliament.
