For many of us, it is out of the question to escape Christmas traditions.
Thus, the iconic stuffed turkey, juicy and delicious that we know, will be served as usual on the New Year's Eve menu.
But where does this custom come from?
It has always been a question of celebrating Christmas by tasting poultry, mainly goose, a rare bird that guaranteed protection from the sun to those who ate it.
But this tradition evolved in the 1500s, when Christopher Columbus brought back the "hen of the India", which would become over the centuries the turkey of America.
So, the dish becomes central and delights the taste buds every New Year's Eve.
If the custom in France is to stuff your turkey with chestnuts, this year we are trying to change it.
