Avalanche in the Roccia Nera area, on the southern slope of Breithorn in the Monte Rosa group.
The event took place shortly after 4 pm, upstream of the Rossi-Volante bivouac at an altitude of 4,000 meters, and involved a ski mountaineer, buried and dragged for about 300 meters.
The man was recovered by the Aosta Valley Alpine Rescue, alerted by a fellow excursionist, not involved and unharmed, who raised the alarm.
The ski mountaineer was transported to the emergency room and is now in the diagnostic phase.
