November recruitment data: For the first time in years - Golani compares to the Border Police in terms of the number of police officers who wanted to serve in it • In second place in the infantry brigades: the Nahal, which overtook Givati

For the first time in years, Golani is on par with the Border Police: At sea interested in serving in the infantry brigades.

The motivation data for the recruitment of the November 2021 cycle that reached Israel Today shows that between the November 2018 recruitment and the November 2021 cycle, there was a decrease of more than 6% in the number of UAVs out of the total number of conscripts who marked the border as their first priority for combat recruitment.

At the same time, there was an increase of more than 8% in the percentage of IDF officers who wanted to serve in one of the IDF infantry brigades.

The data also show that about four years ago, less than a quarter of the infantry brigades wanted to join one of the infantry brigades, but now almost a third of the infantry brigades mark one of the infantry brigades as their favorite target.

The Golani Brigade, which has maintained the title of the most sought-after infantry brigade for years, has recorded an increase of more than 5% in the last four years in the number of people seeking to serve in it, and IDF data show that for the first time in years, At sea, they wanted to serve in the Golani and the border.

The data also show that over the years there has been an increase in the number of lieutenants who want to serve in the Nahal Brigade, as a result of which the Green Brigade overtook Givati, and is now the second infantry brigade in the priority of the commanders.

The Givati Brigade is in third place among the infantry brigades, while the Kfir Brigade is in fourth and last place.

The data also show that the air defense system remains a sought-after target among conscripts, although in the last four years there has been a slight decrease in the rate of non-commissioned officers marking it as the first priority for combat.

The IDF intends to significantly increase the number of women embedded in the air defense system, in order to evacuate men to additional combat targets.

Another sought-after target among the UAVs is the Home Front Command's rescue and rescue battalions. In addition, in recent years there has been an increase in the number of UAVs that mark the Engineering Corps at the top of their recruitment priorities.

The IDF admits that the armor remains a less sought-after target for recruitment.

In recent years, the IDF has not been willing to disclose the general motivation data of youths to serve in combat units, in the name of claiming that these data are "irrelevant", since those who fill them out are from 11th graders.

According to the military, in the end the motivation for combat service increases near enlistment, and especially after it.

However, although the military does not release the data to the public, it continues to collect it, and Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi addressed this recently, noting that motivation for combat service in the IDF is on the rise (after years of slump).

The army is generally satisfied with the fact that after years there has been an increase in the number of young people seeking to serve in the infantry brigades, and the positive increase in the number of young people interested in joining the Engineering Corps.
