The General Electricity Company of Aleppo worked to deliver electricity to the governorate after purifying it from the abomination of terrorism by implementing an electric line on voltage of 230 kilovolts from Hama to Aleppo through Khanasser and securing electrical nutrition for the people in the city, neighborhoods and liberated areas.
Engineer Mahmoud Khattab, in charge of managing the General Electricity Company in Aleppo, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the number of the damaged and out-of-service transformation centers reached 2,600, including 2,000 transformational centers in the city, in addition to the damage to the electricity networks, medium and low voltage, transmission centers and transformers in the high-voltage networks linking the city. Aleppo and provide it with electrical supply from the rest of the provinces and dams.
He pointed out that the neighborhoods connected to the electric current are Salah al-Din and Sheikh Maqsoud with a completion rate of 95 percent, the entire neighborhoods of Seif al-Dawla, al-Badaa, al-Zabadiyah and Suleiman al-Halabi, 70 percent in the al-Mashhad and al-Kalasa neighborhoods, 90 percent in the neighborhoods of Bustan al-Qasr, Sheikh Khidr and al-Halak, and 40 percent in the Sheikh Saeed neighborhood and in the old Aleppo The neighborhoods of Sab’ Bahrat, Jubb al-Qubba, Qab al-Najjarin, the vicinity of the castle, Agoul, Bab al-Faraj, al-Nasr, Jenin, 60 percent of Bab al-Nairab and 20 percent in Sheikh Saeed and al-Haidariya.
He added that this year witnessed extensive work in the suburbs of al-Assad, al-Marjah and al-Mashatiyeh, and the number of centers that were installed reached 2,000 transformational centers. The industrial areas were fed 12 hours a day in al-Kallasah, al-Arqoub and part of al-Qaterji. Electricity was rehabilitated in the industrial areas in Jibrin, Tiara, al-Naqarin, al-Layramoun, al-Mansoura and Kafr. Dael, Zerba and Ramousah.
Khattab added that the al-Safira area in Aleppo countryside and neighboring villages had been fed by 95 percent, and the villages of al-Hader, Sheikh Najjar, Sheikh Zayat, Manyan, Azzan, Abtin, al-Naqarin, Samaan villages, the northwestern countryside, Deir Hafer city east of Aleppo, and al-Khafsa district.
He pointed out that during the next year, about 300 transformational centers will be put into service, and the rehabilitation of the electrical system will continue.
