He entered the community after returning to Hong Kong and returned to his Yau Ma Tei residence and visited the district. The restaurants and shops in the premises are tested for viruses.
The other two Omicron patients tested positive at the airport and were admitted to the hospital, but did not enter the community.
There have been 14 Omicron cases in Hong Kong.
The Center for Health Protection has arranged for approximately 10 close contacts of the Cathay Pacific pilot and household contacts of approximately 10 close contacts to be quarantined at the quarantine center. No relevant confirmed cases have been recorded for the time being.
There were 5 new imported cases in Hong Kong today, and fewer than 10 were initially confirmed.

[00:37] A 36-year-old cargo pilot of Cathay Pacific Airways was diagnosed with new coronary pneumonia and suspected of carrying a variant virus strain Omicron during home quarantine after returning to Hong Kong.
The Food and Health Bureau announced in the evening on Friday (17th) that the patient had visited six designated places during the incubation period, and all were included in the mandatory testing announcement.
Zhongjialefang Starbucks, Harbour City city'super, Waterloo Road Wellcome, Bi Street OK convenience store, Yau Ma Tei Jinli Commercial Building Mannings were all patrons before he left Hong Kong, but Kwong Wah Street Wellcome was the one who returned to Hong Kong for home quarantine. During the period, this Wednesday (15th) went to the MacPherson Playground mobile sampling station for a test visit on the same day. The test results of the sample on that day showed that he was diagnosed.
Since the patient had been ill when he went to MacPherson Playground this Wednesday, the sampling station was included in the list of mandatory testing on Thursday.
