India today announced that it has successfully test-fired a nuclear-capable Agni-P ballistic missile off the coast of eastern Odisha.
And local media quoted the Indian Defense Research and Development Organization as saying in a statement that this test is the second of the missile, indicating that it flew according to the specified path for it and carried out with high accuracy all the flight standards specified for it.
The Agni-P is a two-stage solid-fuel ballistic missile with a dual navigation and guidance system and has a range of 2,000 km.
The first test launch of this missile was conducted last June.
