The district administrator announced figures from the Freising Clinic.

Meanwhile, a Green politician was annoyed by the statements of an infected AfD district council that had to be relocated to Italy.

Freising

- The Freising Clinic will probably run into a deficit of 3.6 million euros this year.

District Administrator Helmut Petz, chairman of the hospital's supervisory board, announced this on Thursday in the district council.

But one is in good spirits, after all, almost all the numbers point upwards.

There was no criticism in the district council of the report on the clinic, but instead of statements by an AfD district council and what it has announced on Facebook, and what Johannes Becher (Greens) described as unacceptable "oaths".

Corona death rate in Freising is below average: the clinic doctor gives the reason

On behalf of the managing director Maren Kreuzer, Petz presented the key figures: in 2021 almost 15,500 inpatients will be treated (in 2020 there were 14,053), at the end of the year over 15,000 patients will have come to the clinic for outpatient treatment ( in the previous year 14 273).

The figures that were reported from the emergency department also point upwards compared to 2020: According to extrapolation, 9221 cases will be admitted as inpatients (2020: 6296), 15,206 outpatients (2020: 14,755).

The clinic's occupancy is stated at 65.8 percent in the current year, after the house was only 57 percent occupied in 2020.

"Very pleasant and very wonderful" said Petz that the 1000 mark will probably be cracked in the births.

Nevertheless: At the end of the year there will be an annual result of minus 3.59 million euros.

And 2022?

Here, too, the management expects a negative operating and annual result, whereby the additional expenditure is politically wanted.

Keyword: large-scale allowance, which alone makes up two million euros more.

Clinic doctor gives reason for good corona rate

Of course, in times like these, a clinic report without the Corona issue is unthinkable.

The number that "only" seven percent of Covid 19 patients die in the intensive care unit in the Freising Clinic made people sit up and take notice.

That is less than half of the national average.

The explanation came from the pandemic officer of the clinic and ÖDP district councilor Christian Fiedler: Treatments were used early in Freising that only later became customary in the hospitals during the course of the pandemic.

Fiedler reported that one got "a lot of trouble" for this, because the clinic was accused by a higher authority of not having properly documented the cases.

A review did not confirm this, of course.

"Swag": Becher is annoyed by infected AfD politicians

And then Johannes Becher (Greens) spoke up and agreed to the general praise for the hospital staff and their commitment. And he buttoned himself - without naming the name - AfD district councilor Gerhard-Michael Welter. A few weeks ago he was moved as a corona patient with an ambulance including a fire service escort vehicle to transport oxygen bottles to Italy. From there he had posted on the Facebook page of the Erdinger AfD district chairman Wolfgang Kellermann that in Bavaria the beds in hospitals had been "deliberately reduced" "to create scarcity", and that in Italy they had "a health system and specialist staff, plus equipment that is 25 years ahead of Germany ”.

Such "oaths", "conspiracy theories" and false claims should be avoided as a district councilor, demanded Becher.

And Erich Irlstorfer (CSU) also described Welter's statements as “absolute nonsense”.

Welter himself did not respond to the criticism during the session on Thursday.
