This Saturday morning, an apartment fire could have turned into a tragedy in Compiègne (Oise).
The fire broke out in an apartment on the second floor of a building in Square Berlioz, in the Clos-des-Roses district.
"The children were stuck in the apartment, their mother being next door," said a witness.
Once there, the firefighters of the imperial city seek to free the children.
"The first team to intervene receives the information that a little girl is still stuck inside," indicates the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis) of Oise.
Upon arrival, the accommodation is completely smoky.
Guided by the tears, the firefighters find the baby, a little girl aged nine months, on the floor in a room ”.
Intoxicated, the child will then be transported to hospital "in serious condition", continue the firefighters.

The apartment fire was subsequently contained using a lance.
As a safety measure, the 187 people, half of whom were children, living in the building were also evacuated.
They were grouped together in a gymnasium made available by the city pending the end of the intervention.
The device was lifted at 12:45 p.m. and all the residents were able to return to their homes.
The mother and her four other children were placed in hospital for observation.
Emergency rehousing was offered to them but they refused, preferring a rehousing solution within their family.
In the process, the mayor (LR) of Compiègne, Philippe Marini, sent his "congratulations to the firefighters for having saved a girl".
