Gelsenkirchen - In North Rhine-Westphalia there is currently Zoff because of the walk for some dog owners.
Because in Gelsenkirchen it apparently happens regularly that the masters and mistresses take their four-legged friends out to the cemetery.
That wouldn't sound so wild at first if it weren't for a problem: The owners have real problems preventing their dogs from opening the graves.
Relatives shaken: dogs open the graves
Of course, that doesn't meet with a lot of enthusiasm.
You can even find piles of dung on the funeral wreaths, complain of the bereaved to the
WAZ.
Not a pretty sight.
Sure, dogs are not aware of the special importance of a grave and therefore do not take any care when making things easier.
Cemetery visitors want more sensitivity from the owners.
Especially since the problem of reaching for the plastic bag could be avoided.
One widow reported that she saw the grave of her recently deceased husband being trampled on by a dog running freely.
When asked about this, the owner also nagged the lady, she reports to the portal.
Dog poop is also a nuisance for cemetery workers
The dog piles are also a major nuisance for the cemetery employees, according to the
WAZ
.
Therefore, according to the cemetery statutes, dogs should only be kept on a leash and impurities must be removed immediately.
But the handling of the cemetery administration is very limited, at most the dog owners can be expelled from the cemetery.
Dogs are already banned in many cemeteries.
The only thing that could help are stronger controls, emphasized a resident.
