The peak is still ahead of us: in the next day it is determined that temperatures will rise, but the storm is on its way • There is a fear of flooding in the plains and lowlands • The cold peak - on Tuesday and Wednesday • And also: where did most precipitation fall?

Winter week begins: The "Carmel" storm, which is the strongest winter system so far this year, is approaching Israel.

Just before the start of the storm, the rain that accompanied us today (Saturday) will stop during the night.

Tomorrow will be partly cloudy throughout the country with rising temperatures.

In the afternoon the winds will increase and in the south there will be haze.

At night clouds will begin to enter the north of the country and rains accompanied by isolated thunderstorms have fallen.

Monday will be rainy, cold and stormy from the north of the country to the Negev.

Heavy snow fell on Mount Hermon, which may spread to the high Galilee mountains and the northern Golan Heights.

In addition, there is a fear of flooding in the plain and the cities of the lowlands.

The rain will also continue on Tuesday: rains fell intermittently in the north and center.

In the south there will be a haze with the possibility of rain.

The rains will probably continue on Wednesday and possibly Thursday as well, with the peak of the cold being on Tuesday and Wednesday and starting to warm up only on Thursday.

In general, if at the beginning of winter in November and the beginning of December it was relatively warm, now we see a change in the trend and penetration of colder air into the area - air that will allow snow to fall on Mount Hermon.

In terms of precipitation, in the last 72 hours, 78.7 mm fell on Tel Aviv Beach, 70.2 at the University of Haifa, 9.2 in Jerusalem, 15.9 in Merom Golan, 40.8 in Ashkelon, 58.5 in Beit Dagan and 0 mm in Eilat.
