The branch of the Vanguards of the Baath Organization in Homs launched a group playing and singing group, which includes 130 boys and girls from various schools in the city, including 80 choirs, and the rest are instrumentalists.
The founder of the band, Ajfan Khalil, stated in a statement to SANA that the children of the band were chosen from among the talented in playing and singing and trained over a period of months before the band's launch.
Agfan noted the importance of spreading the musical spirit, encouraging children and developing their talents, as the band is characterized according to it by presenting Syrian national, heritage and authentic songs.
In turn, the Secretary of the Homs branch of the Baath Vanguards Khaled Janiyat explained in a similar statement that the band was established with the aim of developing the child’s theoretical readiness to listen to and taste music, making children acquaint themselves with masterpieces of art and developing the habit of listening to music.
Janiyat considered that music is a means for a child's social and emotional development, and from today's students, future artists, writers and poets emerge, directors, authors and musicians.
Among the band members, the child Yazan Al-Khatib indicated that the participation was a golden opportunity for him to show his talent for playing the violin and to receive various types of musical experiences through teamwork.
The Vanguards of the Baath Organization had recently launched an initiative to establish musical bands in all governorates, with the aim of collecting, encouraging and containing talents in playing and singing.
