Europe sets new restrictions by the end of the year 2:43

UK health authorities announced this Saturday that 10,059 additional cases of the omicron variant were recorded in their latest daily figures.
The total confirmed cases of Covid-19 with the omicron variant rose to 24,968 as of 6 pm this Friday, the UK Health Security Agency said through its website.
The number of deaths related to the omicron variant is seven, the agency said.
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson will chair a Cobra emergency committee meeting this Saturday to discuss restrictions, a Downing Street spokesman confirmed to CNN.
