The Syrian-Russian Friendship Committee in the People's Assembly discussed today with the head of the Russian-Syrian friendship group in the Russian State Duma, Dmitry Sablin, and his accompanying delegation, ways to enhance relations between the two friendly countries at the parliamentary level.
The head of the Syrian-Russian Friendship Committee on behalf of Sudan stressed the depth of relations between the two countries and the need to continue serious work and exert efforts at all levels to advance them in all fields for the benefit of the Syrian and Russian peoples, pointing to the positions of the Russian Federation and its support for Syria and its people in the fight against terrorism.
For his part, Sablin pointed to the importance of intensifying meetings and visits between the two countries at the parliamentary level to achieve maximum levels of cooperation, expressing his hope for Syria's participation as an observer in the work of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. and enhancing their security and the security of the entire world.
Sablin revealed that work is underway to coordinate cooperation mechanisms between Russian regions and Syrian provinces to provide support in the economic, social, humanitarian and educational fields.
