A little before noon, this Sunday, a woman in her sixties who was on foot was fatally run over by a driver driving a BMW, rue de Saint-Denis, in Aubervilliers (Seine-Saint- Denis).
The shock took place near the Lidl store.
Despite the rapid arrival of firefighters and Samu, the victim who lived in Saint-Denis could not be resuscitated.
Three other people who witnessed the accident were very shocked and had to be taken care of by the emergency services.
The driver was driving very fast
The driver was arrested in the wake of the accident, and apparently his passenger as well.
Few elements are filtering for the time being on the circumstances surrounding this accident, except that the driver "was driving at full speed", when he collided with this woman on foot.
Beforehand, he had expressed a refusal to obey the sight of police officers present in the same artery, but on the side of Saint-Denis.
This city has already been marked by another very recent tragedy, that of Moussa Coulibaly, a 61-year-old garbage collector, broke on November 1, while he was collecting garbage containers in the back of his dump truck.
The driver behind the accident had himself fled.
He was found by the police a few weeks later, after a careful investigation.
The garbage collector died on December 9.
