Kochel: Motorhome drivers clear a traffic island with a good 1.5 per thousand

Kochel - A drunk motorhome driver ran over a traffic island in Kochel on Sunday (December 19).
The damage amounts to around 27,000 euros.
According to the police, a 43-year-old from Nussdorf / Inn drove his Fiat motorhome on Schlehdorfer Straße from Schlehdorf towards Kochel on Sunday at around 0.35 a.m. At the junction with the B11, the man drove over the traffic island there and a light pole. The mast buckled and fell onto the main road. The oil pan on the motorhome was torn open, the contents spilled onto the roadway and into the adjacent soil. When the accident was recorded, the officers found the person who had caused the accident to smell alcohol: According to the police, an on-site test showed a value of a good 1.5 per thousand. The driver's license of the Nussdorfers was secured, the 43-year-old had to have a blood sample. The accident caused property damage of around 20,000 euros to the motorhome.The police put the damage to the light pole and the traffic facilities at around 6500 euros. The scene of the accident was closed until around 2.45 a.m.
