The results of the Legislative Council elections are released one after another.
In the northeastern local constituency of the New Territories, the Democratic Alliance for Betterment of Hong Kong, Chen Keqin, was successfully re-elected. In recent years, the New Democratic Party Li Zijing, who became a "blue camp" KOL, also entered the parliament.
Huang Chengzhi, a former legislative council member who once called himself a "democratic faction", and Huang Weihao, a democratic mindset, both lost.
The Returning Officer announced that Li Zijing received 61,253 votes; Huang Chengzhi received 5,789 votes; Chen Keqin received 62,855 votes; Huang Weihao received 5,160 votes.
Li Zijing and Chen Keqin both entered the game.
The Democratic Alliance for Betterment of Hong Kong has established roots in New Territories East for many years and has served as a member of the New Territories East Legislative Council for three terms.
Li Zijing ran for the election under the name of the Liberal Party in 2016. At that time, he was elected by the party's honorary chairman Tian Beijun but failed to win the election. After losing his re-election to the district council in 2019, he moved to the online platform and attracted a lot of "Deep Blue" support. He changed to the New Democratic Party last year.
