Bai Yunliu: The ICAC has received 29 complaints as of Thursday

【11:00】公務員事務局局長聶德權表示，這次是完善選舉制度後的首場立法會選舉，最重要是選出有心有力、符合愛國者原則的議員進入政治體制。他又指，希望香港回復穩定，讓議會有效理性運作，大家在穩定環境下發展經濟、改善民生。他強調選民投票除了盡公民責任、行使公民權利外，更深意義是在完善選舉制度後，與「一國兩制」相適應的制度能順利運作。
【11:00】全國僑聯副主席盧文端表示，預計這屆立法會投票率約30%，與回歸首兩屆的立法會選舉投票率相若。他指，投票率高低與新選舉制度沒直接關係，強調投票高未必好事，如上屆立法會選舉的投票率高，但選出一個長期「拉布」和癱瘓特區政府的立法會。
盧文端認為，投票率低因反中亂港人士未能「入閘」，減少社會兩極對抗的氣氛，強調最重要是選出為特區政府出謀獻策、解決社會深層次矛盾及民生問題的議員。
全國人大常委譚耀宗投票後表示，這次是選舉制度改變後的首場立法會選舉，具有特別意義，希望選舉能產生一批愛國愛港、有能力、有擔當的議員，為香港未來的社會發展經濟及改善民生作出貢獻。

譚惠珠：市民出來投票 投票率就會提高
【10:40】基本法委員會副主任譚惠珠到會展投票，表示選舉投票流程流暢，每一個議席競爭都沒有任何「祝福」。對於投票率爭議，她認為毋須糾纏擔心，她指2016年立法會選舉有35席來自地區直選、以及5席來自「超級區議會」，選舉氣氛較為熱熾，因為當時比例代表制下容許多人在名單參選，而且疫情前擺街站也沒有限聚令等限制，所以在選舉資源和環境因素都不能直接比較。
譚惠珠強調大家只要出來投票，投票率就會提高。
一小時內14.2萬選民投票 投票率3.18%
【10:35】截至早上9時半，即開始投票後一小時，共有142,304人完成投票，投票率為3.18%。相比起2016年立法會選舉，當時票站由7時半開放，一小時內投票率為1.31%；到9時半，投票率為3.73%。至於前年區議會選舉，一小時內投票率為3.82%；到9時半，投票率為10.41%。
【10:10】律政司司長鄭若驊表示，這次選舉候選人非常多元化，有不同年齡、背景等，反映出政治包容性和廣泛代表性。她呼籲市民在晚上十點半前去投票，選出為香港做事的愛國愛港人士。
梁振英籲投票向舊選制「說不」
【09:30】全國政協副主席梁振英到灣仔會展投票，他指今次是完善選舉制度後首次立法會選舉，認為除了選賢與能，亦是向過往令本港停滯不前、磋跎歲月的立法會選舉制度，以及部分議員「說不」。他呼籲選民盡早投票，指一百多名候選人，無論學歷背景及論政水平，都符合《基本法》下的全面代表性，相信當選者組成的立法會，能夠掌握好國家發展勢頭和機遇，令各行業市民有更好生活。
他又強調香港是一個地區不是國家，選舉制度在《基本法》下有明確規定，過去部分人有意無意中否定有關規範，令立法會權力無限擴大。
創科局派逾600人支援電子派票等措施
【09:30】創新及科技局局長薛永恒出席電台節目時，呼籲愛國愛港市民今日積極投票，期望完善選舉制度後，立法會回歸和平、理性及務實。 他稱創科局在籌備選舉期間派出600多人，包括資訊科技專業人才和高層人員等協助，並設立電子派票系統。他解釋以往靠紙本劃線派票，難免有機會出現人為錯誤，相信改用電子派票後，令投票更有效率、準確及減少出錯，直言政府會全力以赴提供協助。
多名局長先後在所屬選區票站投票

The waiting time system for online ticket checking stations does not work
[08:50] The Registration and Electoral Office expressed its suspicion that due to too much traffic, the system that was originally set up on the election website to allow voters to check the estimated waiting time of each general polling station was not functioning properly.
The spokesman said that the staff of the general polling stations will erect notice boards at the polling stations to remind voters of the expected waiting time (waiting time is less than 30 minutes, about 30 minutes to 60 minutes, or about 60 minutes to 90 minutes).

Deng Bingqiang points out that electronic ticket dispatch is smooth
[08:40] The Secretary for Security Tang Ping-kiang went to the polling station on Tin Kwong Road in To Kwa Wan to vote this morning. When he met with the media, he said that it only took a few minutes to complete the voting, emphasizing that the electronic voting system is very smooth.
