A storm in the Knesset following the publication of "Israel Today" • The Mizrahi, Arab or Haredi public is not represented in the public broadcasting corporation council, became the talk of the day in the Knesset yesterday • MK Yaakov Margi: "Do the corporation council have members representing Mizrahi, Arab and Haredi society?"

A storm in the Knesset: The publication last Friday in "Israel Today", according to which the Mizrahi, Arab or Haredi public has no representation in the public broadcasting corporation council, became the talk of the day in the Knesset yesterday.

In a question submitted to Communications Minister Yoaz Handel, MK Yaakov Margi (Shas) asked: "Are there members of the corporation council representing Mizrahi, Arab and ultra-Orthodox society? In what method and how are its members appointed? Does the current composition really promote 'diversity and tolerance'?"

The issue was also flooded in the Economics Committee, when MK Dr. Shlomo Karai (Likud) called for the privatization of the corporation, thus saving, he claims, NIS 800 million.

"Do you know how many Mizrahis there are on the corporation council? Zero. How many ultra-Orthodox? Zero," he told the committee's chairman, MK Michael Bitton, to which he replied, "It's unfortunate and wrong."

MK Uriel Bosso (Shas) made an urgent proposal for an order, in which he wrote:

He said, "Ashkenazi's CEO, Ashkenazi's vice president, Ashkenazi's music station manager (as well as his predecessor) Ashkenazi, and more. "Discrimination is still ongoing, alive and breathing."
