Without a mask, but with a knife, a man known to the police caused a stir at Munich Ostbahnhof.

He threatened to slit a traveller's throat.

Munich

- An incident occurred at the Ostbahnhof in Munich on Saturday, December 18, in which a man with a jackknife caused a threat.

The 54-year-old was arrested.

As the federal police announced in a press release, the emergency control center of Deutsche Bahn AG notified the federal police in the evening about a fugitive with a knife on platform 1 of Munich's Ostbahnhof.

The 54-year-old German is said to have appeared there around 6:30 p.m. without the required mouth and nose covering.

He had carried an open jackknife with him, with which he had boarded a stationary S-Bahn line S6 in the direction of Tutzing.

According to witnesses, he then shouted: "If you turn me on because I don't have a mask, I'll stab you."

Then the 54-year-old is said to have threatened a stranger who was standing or sitting in the S-Bahn near him to slit his throat.

Several passengers then fled and left the S-Bahn.

After an announcement that the train could not continue due to a technical malfunction, the 54-year-old also left the S-Bahn and headed for the subway exit, where he was found and arrested by several officers from the Federal Police.

In addition to the jack knife, the police also found an animal repellent spray on the 54-year-old.

There was no evidence that the man was alcoholized.

After the threat at Munich's Ostbahnhof: the police are looking for witnesses - the perpetrator is no stranger

As it turned out, the man, who is registered as homeless, had already become suspicious of the threat from a DB employee and a security employee in the late afternoon at the main train station. The man's name was known to the staff at the main train station beforehand. The Tegernsee native was finally registered with the judge on Sunday by order of the public prosecutor's office. He was only released from a four-month prison term in late October. The 54-year-old now has to answer for insults and threats as well as suspected harassment of the general public. In addition, the violation of the Infection Protection Act (FFP-2 mask not worn) is forwarded to the responsible authorities.

especially after the man he is said to have threatened to "slit his throat".

At the time of the crime, the 54-year-old was dressed in dark blue jeans, a black hooded jacket, black shoes and a black baseball cap.
