What differentiates some skulls from others is not the time they have spent asleep but the dreams they once housed

When you dig a little in the ground anywhere on the planet, sometimes a skull appears that can be a hominid, a primate, a Cro-Magnon, a Neanderthal. Or from a colleague from the office. A few meters underground lie all the dreams of humanity in the billions of skulls that remain buried since the beginning of history. The laboratory determines their age, but what differentiates some skulls from others is not the time they have spent sleeping underground, but the dreams that they once housed. Among all of them, one was the first to blow through the hollow of a reed and when verifying that this action produced a pleasant sound, he continued to blow without knowing that all of Mozart was already included in those seven musical tones. Another was the first to draw the image of a deer on the wall of the cave. All of Picasso was already included in the lines of that figure. Another was the first to shake his hips convulsively as Josephine Baker and Elvis Presley would do a million years later, or to express a delicate feeling with his feet and arms without still being Margot Fonteyn. One of them was the first to mount a stone on another stone and in his own way had already begun to build the Parthenon. Any of these skulls could have belonged to someone who was the first to babble a rhythmic chant or to carve a sign on a clay tablet with his finger. The dream of beauty remains buried in each skull waiting to germinate with a new seed. No battle in history or feat of heroes has left a trace on earth, except for the flow of blood that it has caused.Only art has given meaning to the chaotic adventure of life and when it is extinguished, beyond human cruelty, the dream of beauty will still be the only reason to feel proud of having passed through this dog world.
