A happy ending and a tragic one

Gauting - The abandoned dog "Chico" found on November 7th in the S6 from Starnberg towards Munich has found a home again.

Among other things, Chico owes this to the work of a 59-year-old Unterbrunner who had given the animal to the Gautingen police. 

The policewoman Julia Kunert from the police station in Dießen, who took in the little dog, is now permanently looking after little Chico, a mix of miniature pinscher and Chihuahua. After the Gauting police officers were unable to discover a chip, a tax stamp or any other reference to a mistress or master on the said Sunday (November 7th), a friend of mine, Julia Kunerts, sent a Whatsapp message with photos of the dog and asked, whether she could not take him in for a short time (we reported). So long until the mistress or master is found so that he does not have to go to the animal shelter. Julia Kunert agreed immediately and the colleagues from Gauting brought the little dog over to her at home on the same day.

After the Gautingen police published a call and a photo the next day (November 8), but no one answered, it turned out after more than three weeks that the dog belonged to a 36-year-old woman from Munich who had drowned in Lake Starnberg ( we reported). It will probably never be possible to clarify whether she intentionally forgot the dog on the S-Bahn.

By this time Julia Kunert had taken the little dog into her heart and called him "Chico".

The 26-year-old police officer contacted the mother of the deceased in early December.

The mother was really relieved that he was well, said the police officer in Diessen.

Even with all the tragedy of the case, their colleagues in the Gautingen police who deal with the case are happy about the happy ending for Chico and are at least happy that the little dog has now found such a good place.
